Music at Porchfest
In October, the city of Decatur holds Porch Fest. Yes, it is a festival, but this one has a special element that I haven’t seen in other fests — porch music. People living on Mead Road and surrounding streets have the option of getting a band to play on their porch for an hour. This year, I’m pretty sure there were close to 30 bands playing all over the place.
The Amblers recruited my husband to play bass for them last year, and they kept him for this year. He’s the exceptionally great-looking guy :) in a black shirt with a big music note on it.
